Takahashi SKY 90II Fluorite ApochromatD-90mm, FL=500mm, F/8 Doublet. Sky-90 is a short tube True Fluorite Apochromat from Takahashi, focal ratio of f/5.6 & tube length of only 350mm (13.75”) with the dew shield retracted, which is ultra-portable & versatile. It is fully multicoated and uses knife edged baffles to produce highest contrast. The 2.5" focuser & newly designed compression ring adapter allows the use of any combination of 1.25" or 2" diagonal-eyepiece combinations.
When coupled with the f/4.5 flattener/ reducer, the Sky-90 can be used as an astro camera or ultra-wide field instrument. Besides star-gazing, its very short length makes it a portable high quality telescope for birding or for toal solar eclipse photography.
